Term	Definition
Beer Shank	Connects your beverage line to your dispensing tower or faucet
CIP	Clean In Place
Ferrule	A ring or cap, typically a metal one, that strengthens the end of a handle
Finial	Decorative top piece
FPT	Female Pipe Threads (internal)
Growler	A container for storing or transporting your homebrew
HERMS	Heat Exchanged Recirculating Mash Systems
ID	Inside Diameter
OD	Outside Diameter
MNPT	Male National Pipe Thread or Male Nominal Pipe Thread (irrigation)
MPT	Male Pipe Threads (external)
NPT	National Pipe Taper (standard for tapered threads)
PSI	Pounds per Square Inch(pressure)
RIMS	Recirculating Infusion Mash System
TPI	Threads Per Inch
Trub	Layer of sediment left after fermentation
UNC	Unified Coarse
UNF	Unified Fine
