WLP1983 Charlie's Fist Bump Lager Yeast (formerly WLP862 Cry Havoc) is a homebrewer’s dream, as it is used in virtually any beer style at both ale and lager temperatures, as well as for cellaring the beer.

From a technical viewpoint, this covers the middle part of the spectrum, giving enough leeway for making very light beers to fermenting medium-high density worts with ease. WLP1983 can be used in IPAs, Pale Ales, Porters, Bocks, Pilsners, Dunkels, and even Weizens with equally good results, so you will definitely find a good use for this strain no matter what type of beer is in the plan for the brewday.
