With such characteristics, this strain is always an excellent choice for brewing British malt-forward ales, such as Mild, ESB, Old Ale, Brown Ale, Stout, Porter, Scotch Ale, and Barleywine. Hop-forward beers can also benefit from using WLP041 since its malty profile delivers a nice balance to bold American hop varieties, a distinct trait of many Pale Ales and IPAs brewed in the region of Cascadia.
