Lemon is a flavour that isn't strange to the world of beer, as many modern hop varieties feature distinct notes of this citrus fruit in their flavour profile.

However, there's a pronounced difference between using a lemon-like hop variety and imbuing the beer with the actual flavour of the fruit. It can serve as an excellent way for adding a refreshing, tart character to a range of beer styles, including Pale Ales, IPAs, Blonde Ales, Saisons, and Sour Ales.

The most obvious way of doing it, of course, would be using actual lemon fruits or lemon juice during the boil or after fermentation. However, if you want to get a controlled and predictable result with your beer, it's best to use a natural flavouring such as this Brewer's Best product.

Usage: Add 1 oz per gallon and sample, adding more until you reach the taste you want.
